Swimming Restrictions
When Can I Go Swimming?
Most products applied to your water body require a 24-hour swimming restriction. The date marked in the swimming restriction section on the treatment notice is the date you can enter the water again. Please locate and read your treatment notice and follow all restrictions.
There Is No Date Marked In The Swimming Restriction Section. When Can I Swim Again In The Treatment Area?
Some products do not have swimming restrictions. If there is no date marked, there is no restriction for that water use. You are able to swim as usual.
There Is No Swimming Restriction On The Sign But Lakepro’s Technicians Are Still On The Water. Can I Go Swimming Now?
For your safety, residents should stay out of the water and keep their pets out of the water until LakePro’s field technicians have completed your treatment and left the water body.
Why Is The Sign Marked For A 48-hour Restriction If The Product Only Has A 24-hour Restriction?
Our crews may treat your water body at any hour of the day, so it may be difficult for a resident to know when they can swim. For example, if we finish a treatment at 6 PM on a Monday, you should not go swimming at 8 AM on Tuesday. To ensure the safety of residents, our signs would say “Do not swim until Wednesday” to be certain at least 24 hours have passed since the treatment.

Can I Swim In The Middle Of The Lake?
The safest measure is to avoid swimming for the duration of the posted restriction. However, during a single treatment, LakePro will not treat the entire water body, so swimming may occur in the untreated areas. You should stay more than 100 feet from any treatment area. If you are unsure of the treatment area, please ask the crew while they are on-site or call our office.

Posting
Why Do I Have A Sign Posted At My House?
The EGLE permit requires we post a treatment notification sign at every home along a treatment area and any home within 100 feet of a treatment area. The sign includes the date of treatment, products applied, and applicable water use restrictions.
When Can I Take The Sign Down?
You may remove the sign after the longest restriction expires. Please follow all restrictions for the durations indicated.
Why Is The Sign Posted In My Backyard?
The EGLE permit requires we post a treatment notification sign between your home and water body. We may staple the sign to a tree or dock post. We may also use a small plastic stake.

Posting Requirements
Every resident on the waterbody that undergoes treatment must receive a notification of when the water was treated, with what products, and any water use restrictions related to those products. The Sign must be placed between the residence and the shoreline, be a minimum of 12 inches above the ground, and be posted in a location that is visible.
7-Day Treatment Notice
Anyone in immediate proximity to the waterbody will receive a notice detailing all products that may be used for the upcoming season and their restrictions. This 7-45 Day Treatment Notification will be delivered to the customer at least 7 days prior to the first treatment.
Treatment Notifications
Here at LakePro, customer communication is of utmost importance. After each application, a director reviews the treatment with the applicator. A Treatment Notice is then emailed to whoever is responsible for organizing the treatment. This allows both LakePro and the customer to be on the same page throughout the entire season and to share any notes or recommendations if needed.
Labels And Safety Data Sheets
All Labels and Safety Data Sheets for products used by LakePro are available to view or download on our site.
