Weed and Algae Control
Custom Treatment Plans
Nuisance levels of algae and aquatic weeds can diminish the recreational, functional, and aesthetic values of your waterbody. These nuisance aquatic plants have a devastating effect on your waterfront property. Understanding the aquatic ecosystem is where LakePro can help.
LakePro’s staff can evaluate and prescribe the use of products that are both effective and environmentally safe in your waterbody. Planning is an essential piece of the management program. Our experience helps manage your waterbody by being proactive.
Evalute and Prescribe
The first step in solving your weed and algae problems is identification. LakePro conducts pre-treatment surveys to locate aquatic plant locations, species, and densities. We also offer BioBase mapping during our surveys. During our visit, our consultants will also be able to identify any underlying issues that may be the cause of nuisance vegetation. Once complete, our team will work with you to create an effective and economical management plan.
Developing a Plan
Part of a successful Lake Management Plan is a good long-term and short-term goal. Part of those short-term goals is creating a treatment plan after surveys. With everything mapped out, we can pinpoint the areas with the highest levels of concern and create a custom treatment to suit your needs.
Once the treatment plan has been tailored to your waterbody, it’s time to execute the plan. LakePro utilizes state-of-the-art equipment run by highly trained technicians to treat your lake. This allows us to achieve desired results without impacting the ecosystem, comply with the permit, and reduce herbicide use.
After each step of the process, we will send a summary of our site visits. After each survey, you will receive a report of the results and recommendations for treatment based on your goals. Upon the completion of treatments, you will receive a notification with all pertinent information.
Additionally, you can expect a quick turnaround on communications for all questions or issues you may have. We know that managing a lake can be stressful and we are here to help you make it as easy as possible.
